150 Thermostats for 150 Families

by on June 30, 2017

We at ecobee, just like Habitat for Humanity, know how important home is. It’s a refuge after a long day at work. It’s a place to gather with friends and loved ones. To take shelter from the storm and find a little bit of peace and comfort. But for 1.6 million Canadian families, home can be hard to come by.

That’s why we’ve donated 150 thermostats to 150 families through Habitat for Humanity. We believe all families deserve to have a safe, decent and affordable home. And our thermostats will help keep those homes affordable well into the future, by reducing energy costs and keeping homes energy efficient.

We are also proud to have a hand in building some of these homes. 20 of our employees will put on their hard hats and take part in Habitat for Humanity’s 34th annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, building 150 homes for 150 families — Habitat Canada’s biggest build project ever.

We believe in better homes for everyone — and homes that are truly affordable for the long term must be sustainable right now. That’s how our smart thermostats can really make a difference. And by donating our products and volunteering our people, we’re proud to work with Habitat for Humanity to make homes not only more comfortable, but more sustainable too.
