If you are a National Grid electric customer, you can earn $25 by enrolling your ecobee smart thermostat that controls your central air conditioning system into the ConnectedSolutions program. Plus, for every year you participate, you will receive $20 at the end of the summer season. Plus, you will receive a free Google Home Mini for enrolling.
How to Enroll in the National Grid ConnectedSolutions Program
With eco+, applications to the National Grid ConnectedSolutions are submitted through your ecobee mobile app on Android or iOS.
Open your ecobee mobile app and set up eco+ for your home.
Enter your utility information while enabling eco+ and select Enroll Now to apply to the National Grid ConnectedSolutions program.
One to two billing cycles after your application has been approved, you will receive a $25 eGift card by email.
Participating in the National Grid ConnectedSolutions Program
On really hot weekdays between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM during the summer, National Grid may call for a temperature adjustment.
During these events, your ecobee thermostat will be adjusted by a few degrees for up to four hours. With eco+ enabled, the temperature adjustment will be tailored to your savings preferences.
All adjustments are voluntary and you always have control of your thermostat. You can end an adjustment by changing the temperature on your thermostat, through the mobile app, or through the web portal.
Through October 31, 2020, if you sign up to participate in and are accepted to the program, and satisfy all other eligibility requirements, you will receive a Google Nest Mini (one per household), while supplies last. You will receive your Google Nest Mini in 3-4 weeks of being accepted. Existing applicants or participants in the Program are not eligible to receive the Incentive. All Google Nest Mini devices are provided by EnergyHub. Google, Google Nest and Google Nest Mini are trademarks of Google LLC.
