Why can’t I upgrade to the new ecobee residential web portal?
Not all current ecobee thermostat users were given the option to automatically upgrade to the new ecobee residential web portal. This is because we want to provide a smooth transition path to all customers whenever any upgrades are performed. To ensure that our current customers do not experience any issues in accessing these services, we have delayed the transition to our new web portal. Once we have ensured that our existing customers will not be impacted, we will provide them with the option to upgrade to the new web portal.
The new web portal is available to those customers purchasing a new ecobee3 or Smart Si thermostat today and to all other customers in the future.
