Your smart thermostat keeps you comfortable when you’re home and saves energy when you’re away.
On really hot days when demand for electricity is the highest, your ecobee thermostat will be automatically adjusted by no more than 4 degrees above your current temperature. These will only occur between 3PM and 7PM, mainly on non-holiday weekdays.
You will always have control and can easily change the temperature to your liking from your thermostat, smartphone, tablet, or computer.
How it works in 3 easy steps:
Purchase, install, and register your ecobee thermostat. Note, if you already own an ecobee thermostat, you can move to step 2.
Apply* to the DTE Smart Savers program. Signing up takes only a few minutes.
After being approved you will earn a chance to win a $500 e-gift card for enrolling in the program, and be eligible to earn an additional chance each time you participate in an adjustment.
* When you enroll in the DTE Smart Savers program, you will be entered to win one of ten $500 e-gift cards. For each event you participate in, you will receive an additional entry into the sweepstakes drawing. To participate, you must be 18 or older, a legal resident of Michigan, reside in a qualifying location, and be enrolled in the DTE Smart Savers program through the end of the Promotion Period. Sign-up is required by September 30, 2019. You may also enter without participating in the Program by sending an entry by postal mail, postmarked by September 30, 2019. More details can be found in the Official Rules or FAQ.
To be eligible, customers must not have a second separately metered service like the Interruptible Air Conditioning rate or be enrolled in the DPP Smart Currents program. You must also have AMI metering installed at your service address.
