Our Android app gets an update
byon April 28, 2016
On April 20th, we released an update to our Android app, version 2.0.1.
Although a lot of the improvements in this release are behind the scenes (and might not be visible to the eye), this release represents the first of many incremental steps to improving our Android experience.
We’ve now made it easier to change the system mode on your Android as well. Much like the iOS app, simply tap the system icon on the home screen to change your system mode.
Here’s how to make the system change from the thermostat:
Tap on the system mode icon on their home screen above the temperature reading.
A screen will pop up listing the different system modes (HEAT, COOL, AUX, OFF) with the current mode of the system highlighted.
Click on the desired mode. If you want to return to the temperature screen, tap outside the box.
Once the system mode is selected, the screen returns to the home screen with the system icon changed to the new selected system mode.
What’s included in the update?
Aside from a lot of foundational improvements that you might not notice, we’ve made it easier to Change Your System Mode.
Is there anything I need to do?
Yes! If you update to 2.0.1., you will be asked to do a one-time re-login.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it here https://www.ecobee.com/lost-password/
