Ryan – We write about helping consumers understand their system, accessories and achieve maximum comfort, and we think ecobee is a great solution for helping our customers achieve this. We recently wrote a post about why you’ll love ecobee. We also have a blog to help our readers be responsible, confident, and proactive when it comes to maintaining their equipment.
We have a great way of making sure that our customers are always happy, and to learn how we can make their experience better in the future. Our Customer Survey has made sure that we are giving our customers what they want and need.
We decided to work with ecobee because we are always looking for new ways to add value to our customers’ experience. For example, our Signature Club maintenance agreement is designed to make it as painless as possible for our customers to have their heating and cooling equipment taken care of.
A great thing about ecobee is the access to the information that the Web Portal and Contractor Portal offer. We have a lot of customers who own vacation homes in our area. So there are months at a time where they are not there. We use these features to help solve problems in case of emergency and so that we are all in the loop if anything happens. We are right around the corner from their homes, which makes it easy for us to go and help solve a problem.
The wireless remote sensors are a great way of helping customers become more energy efficient, comfortable and solve zoning issues without having to spend a ton of money. Since you can schedule when sensors are being used for temperature reading or even use the features like “Follow Me”, the rooms homeowners are using are the ones that will be the most comfortable. Our customers are very excited about this.
I think ecobee is in a smart industry, I see the Internet of Things and Home Automation industry growing a lot over the next few years. As homes get more automated and integrated with technology, homeowners will be happy that they already have their ecobee3 thermostat.
With the customers’ permission, we can see where they are located through the Contractor Portal, and in case of emergency, get to them as quickly as possible. In addition, if the power goes out in an area, the Contractor Portal shows us all of our customers that are arrested. I like the simplicity of the Contractor Portal. I get a little nervous with how other companies’ Contractor Portal User Interface and User Experience will be, but ecobee has done a great job of providing a lot of information in an easy to use and easy to understand way that is quite helpful for us.
