Home IQ™ takes thousands of data points, automatically collected through your ecobee thermostat, and uses advanced math and physics to create a model that learns about your home, and provides you with insights into your home’s energy performance.

What makes Home IQ™ so special?

  • Your ecobee Rating

    Based on all the exciting data we collect from your home, your ecobee rating is a relative assessment of your home’s energy performance. A low score means you may want to consider upgrading your insulation, weather stripping, caulking or improving the quality of your windows. A high score is great, meaning you can be confident that you are maximizing your energy efficiency resulting in big cost savings.

  • Monthly Energy Savings

    Each month, Home IQ™ will provide you with your estimated energy savings. We make use of all the data we’ve collected from your home’s heating and cooling system and compare it against a benchmark to calculate your monthly energy savings percentage.

... and that’s not all

ecobee Home IQ™ offers you insights into some of the key factors that affect your energy performance every month (such as the weather or your weekly schedule). It also offers a convenient summary of your heating and cooling report so you can compare your number of heating or cooling hours month over month.

Home IQ™ Details

Home IQ™ Details provides you with a more detailed illustration of your system’s operations. The Runtime graph illustrates how long your heating and cooling system operated in total hours for the month selected, and for the same month of the previous year. Or if you prefer, The Weather Adjusted Runtime graph will adjust your runtime based upon the number of heating and cooling degree days for the month.
