Toronto, June 8, 2010 – Stuart Lombard, President & CEO of ecobee, the award-winning green technology company, is speaking at an MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge event today at 5:30pm. ecobee is an entrepreneurial organization that launched their first product to market, the ecobee Smart Thermostat, in 2008. The Smart Thermostat is designed to help homeowners make energy and cost savings simple.
This MIT event is titled “Renewable Energy From the Consumer’s Perspective: Bringing Cleantech Home and Making it Real.” The purpose of this event is to show consumers that companies are working to help them unite in their green initiatives and make the world a better place. The panelists, including Lombard, will show consumers how to make a dent in both their energy costs and their impact on the environment by providing easy-to-use products.
“I founded ecobee because I wanted to reduce my own home energy consumption and was having trouble using my basic programmable thermostat,” states Stuart Lombard. “The ecobee philosophy is ‘green made easy,’ and the Smart Thermostat is definitely easy to use. I believe that we can make a positive environmental impact if we make conservation a simple and easy choice.”
