Toronto, January 18, 2010 – ecobee, the multiple award-winning green technology company that provides energy management solutions, has announced the appointment of Derrick J. Boyce, a highly experienced sales and marketing veteran, as vice president of sales.
With over 20 years of experience, Boyce is an expert in accelerating revenue growth and gaining market share while ensuring company profitability. Before joining ecobee, Boyce served as a Canadian Business Leader at Honeywell ECC a division of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions. As a sales leader, he spearheaded the business realignment of the Canadian market, which proved instrumental in improving the overall performance of the division. Boyce also drove the division’s performance and profitability through a strategic reconstruction plan while managing a multi-million dollar budget.Prior to Honeywell, Boyce spent 7 years at Tyco Fire and Security as VP Residential Sales and VP Dealer Operations and Acquisitions.
Boyce is a graduate of the Queen’s University School of Business. He also holds an Executive Leadership certificate and is a Six Sigma Qualified Professional, a process that aims for error free business performance.
