This year, ecobee users have collectively saved an estimated 750,000 kilowatt hours of electricity and prevented 540 metric tons of CO2 emissions from entering our atmosphere!

The amount of energy that the ecobee community has collectively saved is equal to:

• Planting 32,000 trees
• Preventing 60,000 gallons of gasoline or 1,300 barrels of oil from being consumed
• The amount of carbon sequestered by 14,000 tree seedlings grown for 10 years
• The greenhouse gas emissions avoided by recycling 180 tons of waste instead of sending it to the landfill.

The team at ecobee continues to work hard on making your experience with our product a great one. This year, we have updated your thermostat and personal web portal with the following features:

• Additional user preferences such as user access codes, option to enable/disable pre-cooling/pre-heating, temperature range stop and extended range for low and high temperature alerts
• More detailed on-screen weather data and an additional alert for heat pump systems
• Web portal upgrades including the ability to group thermostats, a new performance reports tab, and a custom message feature to send messages from your web portal to your thermostat.
